GenCorp Homes Inc., also known as GenCorp Homes, is a high-end custom home builder providing full service construction management. Servicing Peel, Halton, Wellington and Hamilton Regions, GenCorp Homes places a focus on crafting luxurious custom homes that are functional and sustainable. We meticulously assemble a team of industry-leading vetted tradespeople and suppliers to transform a client’s vision into a phenomenon. As president, Lucas Munn not only interacts with the clients throughout the build, but he also engages himself on the job site daily. This ensures each moving component is brought together synergistically, resulting in a beautiful, quality-built home.

The GenCorp Homes Inc. team operates on the principle that good organization will unlock great quality. As such, we spend a lot of time on the preliminary stage, including perfecting the architectural drawings, nailing interior design plans, and consulting with tradespeople. Then our team creates a master schedule that reflects accurate timelines so that each contractor can do their best work. From demolition to drywalling, the GenCorp team incorporates every single task into a holistic master planning document. This allows our clients to know exactly what to expect, and it helps avoid expensive change orders.
We typically work with tradespeople and suppliers with whom we already have a history. GenCorp is a respected name in the construction business, and we treat every single person on the team with appreciation. Many of the tradespeople already know each other, which makes communication much more efficient. We find that working with the same people reduces ego and improves teamwork onsite.
On a GenCorp construction site, everyone knows the job they’re supposed to be doing. The master planning document is available to everyone. The site manager is available to answer questions and keep track of deliverables. Warranty
When you work with GenCorp Homes Inc. as your builder and contractor, we offer a one-year warranty for new homes.
As a registered builder, we also register any new homes with Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) so they are covered under the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. What is HCRA? HCRA is a private, non-profit corporation established in 1976 that administers the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. Your HCRA registration protects your rights as a new home buyer in Ontario by ensuring that you receive the proper statutory warranty coverage. Although most issues and deficiencies are resolved by the builder, HCRA will mediate if the builder fails to honour their warranty obligations.
One and two-year warranties are offered on certain work and materials, as well as a seven-year warranty on major structural defects. HCRA’s statutory warranty coverage is different from the warranty offered by manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Your warranty will not cover regular wear and tear, failure to maintain the home properly, or acts of God. To better understand what is and isn’t covered under the Act, we encourage all homeowners and buyers to read the Homeowner Information Package.
We stand behind our construction, so we offer our own GenCorp Homes Inc. warranty as well as the HCRA warranty to all of our homeowners.
